MEMBERSHIP

Thank you for your interest in joining the Dekalb Fraternal Order of Police.
The Fraternal Order of Police is the largest law enforcement organization in the country. It is the only organization that truly fights for the rights and laws to protect law enforcement officers at the national, state, and local level.

To join the lodge please follow these steps:
  1. Fill out the application form (please print legibly and no government emails).
  2. Sign the oath on the back.
  3. Fill out the beneficiary form.
  4. Pay your dues from one of the options below:
    1. Monthly payments - If you would like to pay by having your dues come from your checking account every month then fill out the ACH monthly draft form along with a voided check. (we must have that for verification of information).
    2. Yearly—If you would like to pay yearly then you can pay by paypal at the bottom of this page OR mail a check/money order to the lodge made out to Dekalb FOP Lodge 10.
    3. From your paycheck. DeKalb County law enforcement(Police, Sheriff, Marshall, etc.) can now have your dues taken from you paycheck every two weeks($3.27). Just email treasurer@dekalbfop.org and supply your legal name, personal email address, and employee I.D. number printed on your pay stub. 

We must receive all documents and payment to process your application for membership.

We will get you voted in at the next monthly meeting.

You should receive your membership card in the mail in about 30-45 days.

Legal Defense Plan

If you are also joining the FOP national legal defense plan you will be joining the only plan that covers you anytime and EVERY TIME you are taking a police action in the scope of your employment. This applies on duty or off duty as long as you are taking a police action

To join the FOP legal plan go to www.foplegal.com. Click on "join now" and then "individual enrollment." Fill out the form and follow the  instructions on the page.

 

If you are applying for lodge membership at the same time then put "pending" under member number and "010" for lodge number and "GA" for state.

You must be a member or have your application for membership sent in to the local lodge in order to join the FOP Legal Defense Plan.

We also have a local Auxiliary which consist of members' spouses, parents, brothers, and sisters who would also like to participate in being a part of this great organization and supporting our officers.
