MEMBERSHIP

Thank you for your interest in joining the DeKalb Fraternal Order of Police. The Fraternal Order of Police is the largest law enforcement organization in the country. It is the only organization that truly fights for the rights and laws to protect law enforcement officers at the national, state, and local level.

To join the lodge please complete the following steps:

  1. Fill out the application form (please print legibly and no government emails).

  2. Sign the oath on the back.

  3. Fill out the beneficiary form.

  4. Member dues are $105.00 yearly for Active (employed) members, retired members, and post-retired. Dues may now be paid using several methods. In addition to the usual check/money order option listed below, you may also pay by credit card or by automatic monthly bank draft. Pick the method that works best for you.

    • Monthly (ACH): If you would like to pay from your checking account each month, please submit a completed ACH monthly draft form along with a voided check. We must have that to verify the account information. **Effective immediately** In the event an ACH debit is returned unpaid (i.e. insufficient funds), you will be charged $4.25. After one debit returned unpaid within a calendar year, you will be removed from the ACH option. The remaining dues balance (and any unpaid fees) will be due by check, money order, or PayPal within 30 days of notification
    • Annually (Check/Money Order): Please make your check/money order payable to Dekalb FOP Lodge 10 and mail to us.
    • PayPal/Credit Card: Click here or use the QR code below and enter $105


We must receive all documents and payment to process your application for Membership.

You will be voted in at the next monthly meeting.

You should receive your FOP Membership card in the mail in about 30-45 days.

LEGAL DEFENSE PLAN

The FOP Legal Defense Plan is the only plan that covers you every time you are taking a police action in the scope of your employment. This applies on-duty or off-duty as long as you are taking a police action.

To join the FOP Legal Defense Plan, visit www.foplegal.com. Click on "JOIN NOW" at the top of the page, and then “Individual Enrollment." Fill out the form and follow the instructions on the page. 

If you are applying for Lodge membership at the same time, please put "pending" under member number, "010" for Lodge number, and "GA" for state.

Please note, you will need to create a user profile to start the enrollment process for the FOP Legal Defense Plan.

You MUST be a Member or have submitted your Application for Membership in order to join the FOP Legal Defense Plan.
